Host of MSNBC's Weekends with Alex Witt more
Alex Witt hosts the MSNBC show "Weekends with Alex Witt" on Saturdays from 7-8 a.m. ET and noon-2 p.m. ET, and Sundays from noon-2 p.m. ET. Since joining the network in 1999, Alex has hosted across both dayside and primetime platforms, as well as reported from the field during Presidential election seasons and overseas. Since 2011, Alex has produced and hosted her weekly, "Office Politics" series, which has become appointment tv on her show, interviewing newsmakers and politicians while bringing 'behind-the-scenes' insights to her viewers. Alex has also contributed to NBC Nightly News' "Making a Difference" series and "TODAY". The Los Angeles native is a graduate of the Marlborough School for Girls and the University of Southern California. Alex is an avid sports enthusiast, following college football and Major League Baseball - think USC, Dodgers and Red Sox - and skis and water skis at every opportunity. Mountain climbing and hiking are popular pastimes, too. She is also a singer, part of the pop group, "Mrs. Robinson", and has often sung the national anthem around the country at professional sporting events. Alex has two children, and spends most of her time away from work globetrotting with them at every opportunity.
